Ugh, Bill and I never wanted to force Katie to try new things - we always hoped that as she got older she would get more adventurous in her eating, but I fear she is getting worse. Last week we had a huge fight over trying a small peanut butter sandwich. She likes nuts and she likes bread - just don't put the two together. I thought that maybe if we made the peanut butter she would eat it - wrong!
We had her put cashews ( we didn't have peanuts ) into the food processor and chopped them up. She would eat the whole can of cashews if we let her - she wouldn't touch them chopped up. She tried a small amount, but would not have it on bread or crackers.
Bill thought maybe if we chopped up a Kit Kat ( which is one of her favorite things ) she would eat it and then eat the cashews - wrong. She refused to eat the Kit Kat - uuuggghhh!!!
Well after spending some time in her room she came out and eat the Kit Kat and the crushed cashews - but said she didn't like it.
She is one tough cookie. I hope we figure this out before she starts kindergarten next year.

Christmas
Merry Christmas to all. We hope you enjoyed your holidays. Katie picked out a beautiful tree this year and helped decorate it.
She asked Santa for a Lady Bug pillow pet - which she did get and enjoys very much. She also received a ton of arts and crafts, painting , and creative play toys - which was perfect for those snowed in days

She wanted a tent for her bed - it comes with a cool light also.
Twister - which I was luck enough to get out of playing , but I am sure I will have my share in the days to come.
My brother drove his family down for the day, but unfortunately I did not take enough pictures. They brought there dog also and had a wonderful visit. Katie loves playing with her cousins. This picture is very typical of my father with just about any electronic device - he is challenged when it comes to operating a device that requires more the two steps to complete any function - he "just wants to know why its so difficult!"
