I want to stay small

We are all laying in bed last night after her bath. Katie started complaining that her legs were hurting her. Now she will do just about anything for a band-aid so we don't give too much credit to her complaining ( well unless of course we know she is actually hurt). Well there wasn't any signs of injury but she was going on for a little bit. So I played along with her for a while - asked her where it hurt and what happened. She didn't know but both her legs hurt.
So I looked over to Bill and asked " Do you think it could be growing pains". Well she starts crying hysterically and we can't understand what she is saying. Finally we get her to calm down to where we can understand her and she says " I want to stay small". Bill and I start laughing and try comforting her. She was fine in a few minutes but boy the things she hears and the way her little mind interprets them are amazing.

Washing Moms car

What a great little helper - she just dove right in and washed my car. Boy I hope she doesn't grow out of that.

Bike riding

Today was a gorgeous day. Katie said she wanted to stay inside all day but she didn't have a choice. As soon as I got home from work I dragged her outside. Once outside we had a grand old time. She played on her swing set in the back yard, washed my car, walked to Wawa for some ice cream and even rode her tricycle.
What a great day.

SNOW

All day Monday Katie said she wanted to stay inside. It was pretty cold and windy so I was OK with that. Well she decided at 5:30 that she wanted to go out and play in the snow. The sun was starting to set so I quick bundled her out for a few minutes outside.

Bill spent about a total of 2 1/2 hours outside removing snow from our driveway and some of the neighbors also. Here you can get a little idea of how deep the snow is.
She had fun walking in the snow - didn't mind walking two steps and falling. It was deep and difficult to walk in. She had her shovel and basket - she was all set.

Backyard playground

Ha d a little over a foot of snow on Monday. Everything looked pretty. Jibe had a little bit of a tough time with it. i don't know why she had to traverse the whole back yard though.

Pirate Smowman

Katie has this great story about snowmen. One of the pictures in the book is of a snow pirate. She has been talking about building one for months. We had a few failed attempts this season, but we gave it one more try. It wasn't the prettiest but its a pirate.

ARRRRRRRR!!!

Maybe next year we'll make a better one. We need to get/make a really good patch and a sturdier hat. I will be on the look out this halloween season.

Sledding

We woke up Sunday morning to a surprise - snow ( Little did I know that monday morning we would wake up to a blizzard) Well we bundled the kid up and headed for one of the "hills" in Howell. We each took a turn carrying the sled up the hill. Bill came down with her and so did I. I actually thought she would want to spend more time sledding but I think she was anxious to build her snow man.
