Disney

After the wedding we went to Disney for a week. There is just so much to do and pics to post that its overwhelming. I picked a few. We rented a car to drive from the airport to the wedding then to Disney - we were able to drop the car off at Disney which was nice. I knew it was big but had no idea how BIG the actually Disney resort area encompassed. ( we wound up getting lost in there also so was able to see everything)
Check in was a breeze - Katie was very excited and eager to visit the parks and meet all the characters.

Everybody loves Mickey

The character were great - they would interact with Katie first - not just pose for a pic. You could see her talking to them, smiling, and just enjoying herself. We did get an autograph book for the characters to sign also - 21 signatures we got - so many we missed

We had dinner at Cinderella's Castle - extra special. Snow White, Princess Aurora, Bell, and Ariel came to the tables to say hi and get a picture and sign her book. It was truly magical

Bill scuba dived at Epcot, in the big fish tank - he said it was a great experience. We were able to see him from outside the tank - Katie thought that was cool.

She enjoyed Epcot - especially China.

Animal Kingdom.

We only went on a few rides. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad - Bill and Katie rode 5 times - they both had a blast. She is a thrill seeker!

Katie and I did Splash Mountain 3 times.

She told me this is her Cowgirl pose - we were on Tom Sawyers Island.

You should enlarge this one - she has a great super hero/defender of the world face on - gotta love it

Heading home - all-in-all a great trip - family, friends, and Disney :)

Wedding

My cousin was married 5-29-11. Bill myself and Katie flew down to Florida for the wedding. It was great to see family which we hadn't seen in a while.
We flew in the night before. The wedding was held at a beautiful hotel - Katie played shuffle board, went swing and collected flowers.

She wanted to be the flower girl.

It was an amazing ceremony. The bride was stunning

Cousins - what fun. Katie had a great time. She danced all night.

Easter

We have been dying eggs since the beginning of the month - 3 separate batches. The ones above are the typical PAAS dye - tablet placed in cup with water and vinegar. She did a great job with the basic colors then mixed them up a little at the end. She also named them all - from sparkle, to rainbow, to earth. The eggs below are a newer type of tying i guess - you place the dye like liquid packet into a plastic bag then drop the egg in and mix it all around ( Katie didn't like this way as much)

We had a quiet Easter this year. Katie is getting much better about having her photo taken with large furry people. She is looking so big.

She found the eggs in the house and her basket. She doesn't eat candy, so it was packed with toys and arts and crafts. Then out to the back for the monster eggs - she found them without any problems.

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday

Great Adventure

Well this past weekend was the start of a new season at six flags. Katie is now tall enough to go on some big rides. We bought our season passes and went saturday to get our IDs. The wait was about an hour, so while Bill waited on line, Katie and I went on the parachate jump. She wasn't at all scared - going to be a great year. Some of her favorite rides were either gone or closed for the day. There used to be this huge jungle area to climb and slide on but they took that out - she was very sad. She also wanted to go on the log flume but we told her it was too cold ( which it was). We went on a few others, saw a show, ate dinner then headed home. Katie and I went back on Sunday - hey its free now why not. She ran up to and hugged Bugs Bunny - something she wouldn't do last year.
We had her face painted - what a pretty princess
Went on some "kiddie" rides

Then off to the new rides. She rode Black Breards Lost Train - even wanted to sit in the front car.

The Jolly Roger
She wanted to ride the Buccanner but MY stomache was feeling queessy at that point - I told her she would have to ride that one with Bill.

All in all a great day

WHAT FUN

Hide Hello Kitty

We have taken a spin on hide-n-seek and play hide hello kitty. I have to admit I really get a kick out of it. Katie has had a few good hiding spots. Here are a few of my favorite. Here she is hiding in a bundle of stuff that needs to be put away.
Hiding behind the curtain - this one took Katie a while to find.
Not the most obvious spots - but fun
This one is my favorite - Bill or Katie couldn't find her here.

Homework

Katie enjoys writing on her dry erase board. She will pretend to do home work. She has also started playing hangman on her board. She is pretty good at writing her name in all caps and lower case.
" Tongue in Katie" - I hope she out grows sticking her tongue out
She loves to do math

Chatty Katie

Katie has never really talked on the phone much - a quick hi love ya bye is about the extent of most of her conversations. Well the other night she call her Nana and walked around the house and talked for about 15 minutes. Needless to say my mother enjoyed every minute of it.

She's just too cute
