Six Flags

Wednesday we went to Six Flags with our friends Sheryl, Trenton and Oliver. It was great for Katie to have someone to go on the rides with.
I know this one is a little blurry but you can still see how much fun they were having. Trenton was a little unsure of the ride - he would only put one hand up.
Next - the Wiggles car ride, possibly the slowest ride in the whole park.
Smile guys.
Katie loves "the balls" Here Katie is explaining to Trenton how the vacuum work to suck the balls up.
Trenton gets a closer look.
And Ta Da - the balls re-appear
Finally - the splash area. The kids had a blast here. Cooled off in minutes.

They were very cute together.

Busy

Hello all. We have been incredibly busy over the last few months. Those of you who know me know that I am a veterinarian. You may not know that last January I bought my own practice. Since purchasing the business I have been looking for a place to relocate. I have settled on a store in a strip mall. I will call it home for now but will continue to look for a piece of land to build on.
It has been a long and rocky road, but we have finally moved in. Hopefully our lives will soon return to normal. Bill and I have spent many a late evening wiring, painting, building the new clinic. We are very happy with the way it turn out.

July 4th

The camp site had a carnival during the day. Joel and Amanda tried sumo wrestling. Katie had some cotton candy, and we all had a good time. That evening we went to a firework show at the local high school - besides being a little cool it was a great show.
Joel - where are your legs?
Mom was having a good time
Amanda dominated the match
She was asking for cotton candy the whole day.
The camera died after the first picture. She had a great time - I was able to get her screaming on the video camera - will try to get it posted.
(Got one more pic out of the camera)
What a day - she was out in record time

Family

Scott Pam Joel and Amanda all came up July 4th weekend also. We had a great time - swimming ( which was incredible cold) fishing, and playing.
Cool - a newt.
Scott gives Joel and Katie a lesson.
Joel gives it a try
Very nice Joel
Dad caught one - its catch and release.
Roasting marshmallows - we didn't have an open fire but they still tasted really good ( forgot how good they really taste)
Played a little catch after dinner - its nice to have family together

Never knew my father could throw a football - and pretty good too.

Camping

My parents have parked their RV in Eagle Lake PA for 2 months. It is nice to have them "close". Although it is a 2 1/2 hour ride it is a lot better then the 9 1/2 to get to NC. Katie and I drove up for the 4th of July weekend.

It is always good to see Nana and Papa.

Katie and I slept in the tent the first night. It was her first night in a tent. She did really well. It wouldn't have been so bad , but it did get very cold.

Kitten sitting

We have a very adorable sweet kitten at work which we are fostering and then will adopt out. The tech who usually takes him home over the weekend was away on vacation - so he came home with me. Katie just adored him ( maybe a little too much). I must say he is a very tolerant little kitty.
